Sturm

Sturm’s estate is located in Cormòns, Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in North Eastern part of Italy, near Slovenian border (East), 20 minutes far from Adriatic Sea (South), 1 hour from the Alps and Austrian border (North) and 1,5 hour from Venice (West). Collio is our wine Region and it is considered one of the best white wine growing areas in Italy. Wines from here are rich of minerality, with a fruity expression on the nose and a full bodied taste. The Sturm family arrived here back in 1850 from Graz in Austria. 3 generations of winemakers, today Sturm is a nice family owned estate, very dynamic and passionate. Team is composed by three persons: Oscar, the father with his two sons, Denis and Patrick. We grow 15 hectares of vines with an average out-put of 100.000 bottles per year, 100% organic farming since 2014. We produce mostly white wines (90%) but we have also a super red wine production with small quantities and great character, aged in oak barrels. Our philosophy focus on production of high quality and genuine wines, with nice fruity expression of single variety, beautiful acidity and minerality and low sulfites content.
